Proofreading – the last step before publishing. I will proof for grammatical errors, punctuation, typos, formatting inconsistencies, etc.
Copy-editing – when your manuscript has been fully developed, and has been reviewed by Beta Readers. I will review for clarity, syntax, and general flow. Depending on your needs, I can also assist with thinking through roadblocks, plot flow, or other areas where we feel you need a jumpstart.
Please note that I currently accept manuscripts in Word document form. Please contact me through the contact form before sending me your manuscript. Before I agree to proofread or copy-edit your manuscript, I’ll ask for the following things:
- A 15 – 20 page sample of your manuscript
- A general plot outline of your story
- The genre in which you’re writing
- The length (or estimated length) of your manuscript in words
- An overview of the areas in which you’re particularly looking for assistance (i.e. plot flow, overcoming a roadblock with a certain character’s arc, etc).
- Please contact me for pricing.
When editing your manuscript, I will edit in Word with “track changes” enabled.
Please contact me for pricing, and additional details.
